It wasn't much around Santa Monica but inland there were pockets of showers reportedly... and the storm drain a half-mile north of the Santa Monica Pier, shown in close up in one photograph below, shows there to be some rain/run off from the storm on the sand that is reaching the ocean... As a reminder, it is advised to stay out of the ocean for 72 hours after there has been rain...
