Edible straws will hopefully enter the market as an alternative to one-time plastic straws and offer a better alternative than bioplastic straws which are said to break down into smaller pieces rather than disappear, further threatening wild life, sea life and polluting our oceans and landfills. In the meantime, paper straws have seen a meteoric rise in their use and popularity and are a leading alternative to one-time plastic straws.
