Now PALMOLIVE I had heard of, of course. I had not heard of LIFEBUOY, however. Once upon a time, though, LIFEBUOY, was apparently a popular brand in the U.S. And LAVA I've heard of too and use it at home to remove tough to clean grit, oil and dirt.

comment: LAVA, as it turns out, is only one year younger in terms of the length of its registration than LIFEBUOY, e.g., LAVA was registered in 1896.
Conclusion:
Who would have thought that in a historical detention facility from WWII that we would discover three (3) long standing and registered federal trademarks?!... It certainly does prove a good point that trademark registrations can last and last and last... if you maintain your registrations with timely filings of renewal affidavits.
